Open Doors: One With Them Campaign

For almost 60 years, Open Doors has worked in the world’s most oppressive countries, empowering Christians who are persecuted for their beliefs.

In 2012, the United States branch of the organization undertook a massive awareness campaign, centered around the National Day of Prayer. The goal was to inspire Christians across the nation to recognize and pray for their persecuted brothers and sisters in oppressive countries around the world. The campaign would also bring awareness to Open Doors as an organization, and their ongoing mission to defend the religious freedom of those being marginalized for their beliefs.

Contexture partnered with Open Doors to help craft their campaign strategy and promotional materials. This included choosing the name for the campaign, developing the strategy and messaging, designing the logo and creating promotional info-graphics and videos. The campaigns chief engagement piece was a custom awareness wristband, symbolizing unity with the persecuted church. Contexture designed and oversaw the manufacturing of these barbwire-styled silicone bracelets. The US-based campaign has since been adopted by 10 international branches of Open Doors, and the total reach for the campaign has extended into the millions with total wristband orders exceeding a quarter of a million.
